Our Story

From Bare Land to a Fishing Legacy

When the Lock family bought the farm in 2006, there was nothing but open land and big dreams. Over the years, they poured heart, soul, and hard work into building not just a home—but a destination.

In 2017, the small dam was carefully constructed with one goal in mind: to create a peaceful, well-stocked haven for carp fishing. As passion grew, so did the dream. In 2024, the large dam was redesigned and split to create two distinct fishing zones, setting the stage for something special.

That’s how Lock & Lure was born—right here at Lock Nest Dam, just 20 minutes outside Pretoria. A quiet escape, close enough for a quick weekend getaway but far enough to feel like a break from it all. A place built from scratch, with family values at its core and a vision to share the love of fishing with others.
